2014 - what a year!

Well what can I say, 2014 passed me by without a single blog, shocking!
My little florist fingers have been so busy that there was just no extra time, or energy, to type and share any of the beautiful weddings that I have been working on.

It was a rather epic year on the flower front. So rather than waffle on, I'm going to leave you with some of the beautiful pics that I have kindly been allowed to share from photographers and couples.

So there you go, and breathe! And this is only a taster of what I got up to!
2014 was all about saying yes, it was amazing but also exhausting and if I'm honest not a sustainable work level. So 2015 will see us focusing on fewer weddings and boy are they going to be beauties. Hopefully this may give me a little more time to share some of them with you before the year is up! But I'm not making any promises x

A peek behind the scenes...

Well as always it's been awhile, so there is lots to share, but for now I thought I would let you have a peek behind the scenes. Michael from Jackson & Co Photography came round for tea and cake a few weeks ago and took some beautiful pictures of my little studio in the forest and me hard at work.

For his full post on choosing a florist and a day in the life of me, head over to his blog and see all the pics. But for now I leave you with a little taster.

Just a little excited!!

So if you are a regular on my facebook page or follow me on twitter then you will already know why I am excited, if not then  I am about to tell you...

I am very excited to have been shortlisted for the hitched breakthrough awards 2012 in the best new wedding florist category! Having been shortlisted it is now over to you guys to vote, so if you would like to vote for me (and seriously make my day, week, month, year....) then please, please do pop over to the hitched page and click away. (I am there as Katherine Craft rather than Florist in the Forest, just to confuse matters.) Huge, huge thanks in advance for your votes. I will keep you posted.

And in the mean time I leave you with some flowers from today's wedding, a touch of autumn.

Summer Weddings...

Wow, how time has flown, I can't believe it has been 2 months since my last post!
It has been a very busy summer season of weddings and the autumn season is set to be just as exciting.
So here is a taster of what we have been up to.

I think that's enough for now, more to share another time...

Vintage peonies

Wedding Inspiration: Vintage Peonies & Mason Jars
Images from Style me pretty and pinterest

A little inspiration for this weeks wedding. The bride and groom have given a lot of thought to all the details for their wedding, collecting mason jars and making candles and bunting. The flowers will be a mix of pretty early summer blooms with a lot of peonies. Can't wait.
