Despite the grey, a beautiful day was spent at
Chippenham Park gardens, admiring the Snowdrops and Hellebores and warming ourselves by the giant fire.
Beautiful selection of Hellebores
Amazing colours of Dogwood and Catkins
and beautifully scented Witch hazel
We became slightly snap happy on our day trip, so pop over to my husbands blog to get his take on the day.

So very, very pretty!
Simply beautiful! We're still dressed in Winter whites in my gardens. Your post gives me hope.
These pictures are so beautiful. I love those snowdrops...
Congratulations on your award. Your blog is lovely and deserves it.
Your pictures are beautiful and I would it was spring now. I desire. The winter in the Netherlands was long enough.
greetings Elly
Lovely, stunning images! I am glad to have found your blog though Jasons! I look forward to exploring your world. Your sweet peas are amazing! From last year and the new seedlings in your greenhouse.
So nice to see such pretty blooms at the end of a long, cold winter!
Dear Katherine, What beautiful pictures you show here of your visit to Chippenham Park. Hellebores are my favourite early spring perennial, whatever their colour or form. And, the drifts of Snowdrops are indeed marvellous. i do love to see them as at Chippenham Park in light woodland and growing freely just like a carpet of snow.
I am so pleased to have found your weblog and have signed up as a Follower, as well as making it a Favourite on Blotanical in order to keep in touch.
The snowdrops and the other spring blooms are so very pretty.
